Create a wash on your drawing sheet. Sprinkle some table salt on the sheet before the paint dries. The salt will affect only the wet areas. Once the painting dries, wipe off the salt crystals with a soft dry cloth.
Dry brush techniqe is used to create textures. Dip the brush in your colour and then remove most of the liquid from the brush with a blotting paper or a dry cloth and create strokes on your drawing. The effect is extremely useful to depict grass or the fur of the animal.

Stamping : Dilute the colour in a palette and lightly dip the dry sponge in the colour. Now create impressions on the water colour paper. You can repeat this method after the first layer dries and create amazing collages.
